EST 1548: NetInstall 5.8 – Software Packaging

Objective
During this class, you will receive an overview of NetInstall basics. After this training, you will be able to administer small environments and to create, customize and distribute first software packages with NetInstall.

• Basics of the NetInstall infrastructure
• Introduction to the user interface of the NetInstall manager
• Packaging techniques
• Script customizing
• Component model
• Security Patch Deployment
• Reporting and Logfile analysis
• Introduction in Managed databases/clients

Target Attendees
NetInstall administrators, packagers as well as support employees who currently work with NetInstall or who will work with NetInstall in future.

Prerequisites
Practice experience in the administration of the current Windows versions and basic knowledge about software deployment and client administration recommended.
